SANDY RELEIF 2013
Psalm 27: 13 says:
"I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see
the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living"
In November 2012, Willing Hearts was called to respond to disaster relief in the ground zero of Eileen and Pastor D'Andre's life.
And a new chapter started as WHHH answered the call, and accepted the challenge to lift a house 10 feet in the air and rebuild the foundation under it... and then rebuild the home in place! Something we had never done before. It took us from Dec 2012 to the beginning of May 2013 to get everything in place to get started!
As WHHH worked throught the challenges of gov't agencies, architect dwgs., permits, manpower skills, materials, and resources... We prayed and watched as God provided the right things at the right time...
He took us through a Nehemiah walk with God... Preparation, Permission... and Provision. And Eileen and Pastor D'Andre where among the first to be back in their home!
Every step of the way, whether it was town officials, engineers, or the local community coming by to "monitor our progress" and talk with us, they would ask us...
"Who are you guys? Where did you come from?
And you are doing this "Why"...?
And each time our answer was always the same....
"We are a bunch of people who love Jesus ...
and we are here to tell you that Jesus loves you!"
The slide show on this page depicts the weeks of progress each stage of the way.
With each week of progress... as most made the 5+ hour drive down to NJ, we saw more and more, the hope building in other's lives, as they saw the amazing grace of God. Ane we were strenghtened as He helped us through some "insurmountable tasks". And we watched as the joy of the Lord spreading in that little community.
And Jesus was lifted up ... and God was glorified... and all who came to serve HIM... were blessed!
Thank you to all who gave of themselves tirelessly, taking time away from home, family, and your lives to serve Jesus. May the Lord continue to richly bless you and keep you.
And special thanks to Eileen and Pastor D"Andre for the amazing walk of faith and courage that you displayed, moving three times in the process on the past year... But never giving up hope! You are truly and inspiration to all who meet you!
